Exciting developments at b2b2dot0
There is never a dull moment here at b2b2dot0! Every so often I like to stop for a moment and take stock of where we’re at and what we’re doing. This feels like one of those moments.
The first bit of great news is that Drive Medical is now processing production orders through our b2b2dot0 service! This first phase of the project, place and track orders in SAP in real time, got started in earnest on January 5th and the first production order was placed on February 13th. Not bad for the initial push! One thing is for sure though, without the hands on leadership of Drive’s CIO, Charlie Chiodo, no way this could have happened in this time frame and yielded these results! Thanks Charlie! Now it’s on to building the Drive product catalog and the corporate website.
On the new product capability front, we’ve been unbelievably productive as well. We held our first Customer Focus Group (CFG) on our eInvoice functionality on Februrary 3, and our second CFG (and final one) is next Tuesday, February 24. We’re on track to release eInvoicing into production on March 17th.
A few other “minor” product things that we’ve worked on since the start of the year:
- Turning on credit card processing for Nordson/EFD. Purchase Orders, Pcards, Amex, Visa, Mastercard are now all accepted through our secure website. That should go in before the end of the month.
- Implemented “abandoned cart email notification” feature. We hate it when your customers put product in your shopping cart and then decide not to buy. You ought to at least have an opportunity to ring them up and find out why.
- We’re about to migrate our first digital print catalog into production for Nordson/EFD.
Of course behind the scenes we’re still running a company :-) There are demonstrations to give, projects to schedule, contracts to review, corporate website to overhaul, partnerships to nurture, and of course, blog posts to write.
OK. That’s enough stock taking. Back to work!
