Corevist’s 2014 Infrastructure Upgrade
Corevist — a leading provider of SAP integrated B2B eCommerce websites for manufacturers — recently completed a large-scale infrastructure upgrade, resulting in significant improvements in performance, scalability and availability.
Corevist’s cloud-based application offers SAP-based manufacturers and distributors real-time, web-based order to cash management including real-time inventory, contract pricing, order placement and tracking and online invoice payments. The company’s “always on” application supports B2B and B2C customers in 131 countries, 15 languages and 8 currencies.
After experiencing record-setting 80% growth in 2013 and processing over 10 million SAP transactions — Corevist was challenged to scale its cloud-based infrastructure without sacrificing stability, security, or performance.
“We are extremely pleased with the results of the upgrade,” says Justin Diana, Director of Information Systems at Corevist. “The reduction in overall hardware footprint, increased capacity, enhanced network speed, security and disk performance has really helped us continue our core focus on availability and uptime.”
Justin added, “Technological advancements over the last few years have really enabled businesses to go bigger and faster at a reduced cost with a much smaller overall footprint.”
With this recent upgrade, Corevist was able to:
- Take advantage of Supermicro’s new Microcloud server line
- Consolidate 16 servers into 6 rack units of space
- Reduce power consumption
- Increase our overall computing power and capacity
- Reduce response time
- Implement more physical hypervisors
- Migrate to solid state drives
As a result of these infrastructure improvements, Corevist is now happy to announce an upgrade to their contractual SLA with customers from 99.5% to 99.9%.
“Our explosive growth in 2013 is proof that manufacturers and distributors find value in the cloud-based service we provide,” said Sam Bayer, CEO of Corevist.
“We also do something that no other company does. In less than 90 days, we can help manufacturers launch B2B and B2C eCommerce portals in multiple countries, languages and currencies that feature real-time SAP integration. And we help our customers do it without additional investments in hardware, software or programmers beyond what they already have in-house,” Bayer added. “Our 2013 growth confirms that the marketplace believes that that’s a pretty powerful value proposition. We’re bullish about our future and we’ve upgraded our datacenter in preparation for what we think is going to be a continuation of our past successes.”
