The challenge
Axalta Coating Systems, a world leader in paint and industrial coatings, was taking 95% of EMEA orders via phone. They needed to move that business online, which meant consolidating 12 standalone B2B portals to a single architecture with multiple storefronts. They also needed to integrate every B2B portal to SAP ERP, then expand to a total of 18-25 storefronts in 10 languages. The IT organization already had enough on their plates, so the SAP integration couldn’t create any more work for them.

The solution
Marion chose Corevist Commerce Cloud to consolidate Axalta’s B2B portal program on a single architecture. Our templatized SAP integration and support for multiple branded experiences (and languages) allowed Axalta to create the global program they needed. Marion empowered customers all around the globe to do business online in numerous branded B2B portals that all run on Corevist Commerce Cloud.
Because Corevist’s integration is direct and real-time, Axalta’s IT team didn’t take on any significant new responsibility. The Corevist portals just “work,” and they always show the right information to each logged-in user.
Axalta has seen a huge impact. With phone orders slashed, digital revenue has grown 206% since launch, and the company has expanded to 25 storefronts in 10 languages for 5 different brands. All these portals run on Corevist Commerce Cloud, leveraging one SAP integration architecture. This provides massive savings in cost and reduces IT headaches.
